WEEK 1 Bird Feeders

2. Making Bird Feeders
3. Time Allotment: 1 hour
Participants can make the following feeders:
Cheerio Rings Toilet Roll/Kitchen Roll Seed Feeders
Apple and Cheerio Skewers Apple and Sunflower Seed Feeders
Pine Cone Feeders Fat Balls
Plastic Bottle/Milk Keg/Juice Carton Feeders.
Participants can choose which feeder to make.
They will need access to hot water, soap and towels to wash their hands.
Participants can bring:
1L or 2L Milk cartons/juice cartons/lemonade bottles.
Apples – if there is someone who has apples stored or if they have apples that need used up, then they can bring them too.
Garden With Mary will bring:
Wooden Skewers Lollipop sticks Pine Cones
Twigs Bird Seed Vegetable Suet
Garden Wire Cheerios Peanut Butter
String Scissors Trays for putting seeds in
Mixing Bowls Wooden Spoons Paper Bags
Apple Corers Darning Needles
Participants will take home bird feeders and a bag of seeds.
They will need a small cardboard box or bag to bring their items home in.
