Moyola Football Club
The town of Castledawson in south east County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, some 35 miles west of Belfast City and 45 miles south east of Derry City, is home to Moyola Park Football Club, a member of the Irish Football Association and participants in the Northern Irish Intermediate Football League.
Moyola Park Association Football Club was formed during season 1879 / 1880 under the patronage of Lord Spencer Chichester, the landlord of the Moyola Park estate. The club’s pitch has been in the grounds of the estate ever since. The first recorded match was a friendly at home against Cliftonville FC, Belfast, on 14th February 1880, in which the visitors recorded a 3-0 victory.
